Yep, that is Rick Glassman, the stand-up comedian. I love comedy and trying to make people laugh, so it felt right to lead my about page with something personal. Hey, I'm Luiz, a web developer and AI engineer based in Phoenix. I build modern web applications and help businesses bring AI into their workflows. I care about clean code, great user experiences, and shipping things that actually work.

On the web side I focus on React and Next.js applications, from small business landing pages to full-stack web apps. On the AI side I work with LLMs, RAG pipelines, fine-tuning, and API integrations to help teams go from "AI curious" to "AI productive." And a good chunk of my work is neither: taking over a site somebody else built. I spent nine years at GoDaddy, first in technical support and then as a Website Security Analyst reading server logs, remediating malware, and running Linux boxes, firewalls, and DNS for customers under active attack. After that I was the technical liaison for 30+ client sites at JETSET. Walking into a system I did not build, working out what is wrong, and making it work is not a side skill for me. It is most of my career.

When I'm not writing code, I'm streaming on Twitch as GooferG, sim racing, gaming, making music, or hanging out with friends and my cat. I grew up bilingual in English and Portuguese, so Brazilian clients are always welcome. I like building things that work, whether that is a React app or a beat that actually slaps.
